The SINTAJOINT Rubber Ring Joint allows up to 3 degrees angular deflection (depending on diameter).

Since the joint is quickly and easily made and requires no reinstatement of coating or lining, laying rates are considerably faster than for a welded joint pipeline.

In some situations, where ground strains are expected to be high, e.g. mine subsidence areas, modified rubber ring joints can be provided to accommodate the higher axial displacements expected.
