Tyco Water's TYTON-LOK rubber rings will entirely eliminate the need for installing concrete thrust blocks for water mains and below-ground fire service/ring mains.
What is TYTON-LOK?
- Restrained joints for Rubber Ring Jointed Ductile Iron Pipes
- Proven world wide performance (approx 30 years of proven performance)
- Used in Australia for approx 15 years
- A TYTON rubber gasket fitted with stainless steel teeth.
- Simple push-in jointing procedure that results in a "fixed joint
TYTON-LOK benefits are striking:
- Eliminates the need for concrete thrust blocks.
- Ideally suited for congested service trenches.
- TYTON joint in both pipes and fittings.
- RRJ, yet have all joints fully restrained.
- No waiting for concrete curing. You can pressurise the line immediately.
- Ideal where concrete blocks just won’t work, like very weak soils.
- 5 degrees joint deflection allowable for all pipes 100NB to 300NB
- Provides maximum security for strategic mains (i.e. extra security withfixed joints)
- Allowable Operating Pressure 1.7 MPa (1700kPa)
